Walking in the Truth

“For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth” (3 John 1:3-4 NASB)

The Lord is always teaching us about Himself and about who we are in Him. His word contains the truth of who each one is, and it is this truth, that when received, sets us free. Jesus said to His disciples, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31-32) Are you truly free?

The Renewing of your Mind

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

“be renewed in the spirit of your mind,” (Ephesians 4:23)

Early in May whilst away on holidays I awoke one morning at 2:30am when I was immediately stirred in my spirit by the voice of a scripture that began to come to me, “Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.” (Php 2:5) I was taken by the simplicity in which it came and by the fact that it kept coming again and again for 3-4 minutes. I clearly felt the Holy Spirit was speaking to me and I was not to ignore His voice.

Since 1839 it has been the responsibility of the Port Philip sea pilots to steer ships safely through the labyrinth of rips, reefs and unpredictable tidal currents as they enter and leave the bay.

Arise and Shine

Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1)

The command is given to awake, arise and to shine. I’m sure most of us will have memory of a time when all we’ve wanted to do is stay in bed asleep.

Feasting on the Lord's Supply

“For I know that this will turn out for my salvation through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:19)

Prior to attending the Easter Convention I was praying one morning and was reminded of an old chorus that we used to sing entitled, ‘Feasting, feasting, feasting’. The words of the chorus are;
