Christian Women’s Fellowship is a fellowship of women expressing the cultural heart of the church, which comes to us through the preached word. As women and sisters together, we have a heart to serve one another in a first love relationship - the love Jesus Christ demonstrated when He came to earth. Matthew 20:28 says “…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” The true heart of fellowship is found in offering, where we give honour to the Lord first, and give honour to one another by making room for each one’s gifts and talents so we can be a blessing to others.

Article from the Wangaratta Chronicle, Monday 23 May 2011

The tea is ready to be brewed in Tavern Terrace, as the Wangaratta Christian Fellowship prepare to host an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea on Wednesday, May 25. Event coordinator Fiona Adams said it will be the fifth year they have participated in the annual Cancer Council fundraiser, and it was well supported by the community, raising around $4200 over the last four years. “Many in our fellowship have been touched by some form of cancer, either personally or in our families, so we value the work done by the Cancer Council,” said Ms Adams.

“We also enjoy having the opportunity to extend hospitality to our community by providing good food in relaxed and pleasant surroundings, so the Biggest Morning Tea provides the perfect excuse to spoil people for a while, all in support of a very worthwhile cause. “Everyone is welcome, but we would especially like to invite those who are busy caring for others, as this is a time where you can sit down, relax, and be waited on for a couple of hours.”

The Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea will take place at the Wangaratta Christian Fellowship in Tavern Terrace, Wangaratta on Wednesday, May 25 between 10am and 12 noon. Entry is by a $5 donation, and there will be items for sale, a silent auction and a performance by the Wangaratta West Primary School choir and African drum group. All funds raised will go to support the Cancer Council, and their work in research and patient support.
